This Is Pancake Art RFT Cover - Fine Pancake Art

Used as the cover of Riverfront Times Vol. 47 No. 16 for the week of April 19-25, 2023, this is a pancake art depiction of the artist himself, Daniel "Dr. Dan" Drake, lounging in a press photo taken for his music, gaming and oracle brand, Anthromancer. Beneath his image are the words "THIS IS PANCAKE ART" with a subtitle to the story within, all rendered lovingly using the medium of pancake art itself.

This image was requested by Evan Sult, the art editor of the magazine and was used to showcase a long-form story written about Dan's separation from his former business partners and his journey towards launching his original board game/oracle system (Anthromancer) as well as this pancake art company, The Joy of Pancakes. The original photo on which this image was based was composed and shot by Emily H. Moore.

This piece is very special to the artist. Should it end up in a collector's home, it will provide a special connection to Dan, St. Louis, and the medium of pancake art itself.
