The Mimic - Fine Pancake Art

This is the oldest piece in our collection, and was initially created in 2019 when Dan still worked with his former business partners. It is the first pancake of his work that was successfully preserved in epoxy resin, and after nearly a decade of honing his craft, it is the one of very few physical pieces of his work from before this time that still exists. It depicts a mimic from the Dungeons & Dragons universe, a frightening creature that likes to shapeshift into doors and treasure chests to capture carless adventurers in its sticky maw. The pancake was made in a studio, freeze-dried and sealed in a frame by Hank Gustafson, and ships ready-to-display.
